"These images depict the three main inshore fisheries of the northeast coast of Newfoundland. The first shows a man casting for capelin which are small fish that come ashore annually to spawn. The second is of a lobster fisherman, hauling up a lobster pot in his small dory. The third shows a group of men collecting cod from a typical net called a codtrap."
